FOOD WHEN YOU NEED IT
Access to nutritious food is a basic human right, and The Warehouse makes it easy for your family to get the food they need.
The Warehouse believes it is a basic human right to have regular access to nutritious food items. Unfortunately, we also know that our community is located in an area that doesn’t provide easy access to local grocery stores. As a result, we have partnered with PLANTING TO FEED to fight hunger in the Riverside community. If you or your family need immediate food assistance, check out these resources:
- Community Refrigerators: The WRK Group now offers two community refrigerators that are FREE and open to the public, 24/7. Refrigerators are stocked weekly with fresh produce and shelf-stable food items. Both refrigerators receive daily cleanings and weekly deep cleanings and also feature hand sanitizing stations. Refrigerators are located outside of:
- Kingswood Community Center (2300 Bowers Street)
- The Warehouse (1121 Thatcher Street)
- Plenty: The Warehouse hosts Plenty, a FREE weekly food pantry for Riverside residents. Individuals and families are invited to pick up shelf-stable food items, produce, and household cleaning supplies. Plenty is open Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to noon and Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Monthly DE Food Bank Giveaways: Kingswood Community Center has partnered with the Delaware Food Bank to provide a monthly, truck-to-trunk food distribution. Located in Kingswood’s parking lot, food is placed directly into your vehicle’s trunk – you don’t even need to leave your car! Check our events page to find out when the DE Food Bank will be at Kingswood next!
