Apply for a Scholarship

The Warehouse is excited to offer scholarships beginning in 2023! To apply, choose from the list of different awards below and fill out the application on this page. OUR APPLICATION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO JUNE 16, 2023.

Full application requirements:

  • Applicant must be a high school senior.
  • Applicant must supply one letter of recommendation.
  • Transcripts are required.
  • All applicants must provide documentation of at least 10 community service hours.
  • All applicants must provide an up-to-200 word “Self Elevator Pitch.”
  • All applicants must link to an up-to three minute video answering the specific prompt for their scholarship.

WRK Awards - $2000

This scholarship is awarded to two teens annually. It is based on both academic merit and community service. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.3.

Application prompt: Share your ideas on how you can revolutionize teen engagement in the areas of recreation, education, arts, careers, and/or health. Please feel free to think outside of the box with your answers.

RISE Up Awards - $2000

This scholarship is awarded to two teens annually who have completed the RISE program. It is based on both academic merit and community service. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Application prompt: Describe the most important skill you’ve gained from The Warehouse’s RISE program and how do you plan to utilize that skill to transition from high school to college to the workforce.

OG Awards - $2000

This award will be distributed to the Warehouse OG’s who are currently enrolled in college and in need of additional support. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Application prompt: Describe a program that you could create to make a difference in low-income communities, nationally or globally. And, why?

Teen Exec Awards - $1000

This year, this award will be made available for the recent teen execs to help support them while transitioning to college in the fall.  Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Application prompt: If you could create a teen center, what would it look like? What programs, services, and supports would you like to provide? Please consider your mission statement and core values.

HBCU Bound Award - $2500

This scholarship will be awarded to one qualified youth attending an HBCU in 2023. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Application prompt: If you could have a conversation with a historical Black leader, past or present, what issue would you discuss with them to improve the current state of the Black community.
