OUR TEAM

TEEN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Warehouse was created “For Teens, By Teens”.  This means that teens are at the heart and center of everything we do AND they have a voice in the conversation. That’s why we created the Teen Executive Committee comprised of four, teen members who have demonstrated a commitment to engaging with and enhancing the Riverside neighborhood. From the beginning, our teens collaborated with architects to create The Warehouse space and ensure that it featured spaces that encourage our youth to grow and create! Today, our Executive Committee members continue to shape and determine our course offerings, provide 360-degree performance reviews to staff, and even serve as The Warehouse board members.

OUR FOUNDERS

The founding Teen Executive Committee members, or “OGs” as we like to call them, have since graduated high school and are now creating and experiencing their own futures.  We are forever grateful and indebted to the foundational work they did to create The Warehouse we know and love, today.

Today’s Teen Executive Committee

The Teen Executive Committee is comprised of youth leaders that serve as peer mentors for new members joining The Warehouse.  Members of the Teen Executive Committee facilitate new membership orientation, which includes,

  • The Warehouse Cultural Constitution
  • Core Values
  • For Teens, By Teens training

Additionally, Teen Executive Committee members serve as program facilitators and accountability partners for new teens newly acclimated to The Warehouse. Finally, the Teen Executive Committee is responsible for meeting with potential program partners to gain a better understanding of their service offerings so that they can determine whether the program will benefit their peers.
